About Us

The 2012 IDEA Youth Forum is organized by International Debate Education Association (IDEA) and Universidad Iberoamericana. IDEA will be taking care of the curriculum, trainers and content preparation; communication with participants and international publicity and overall management of the event. Universidad Iberoamericana will be securing the venues and transportation; organization of socials and trips and providing general participants care upon arrival.

About IDEA
International Debate Education Association (IDEA) is a not-for-profit organization focused on non-formal education. We support public discourse, active citizenship and participation locally in order to promote mutual understanding and democracy globally. IDEA develops, organizes and promotes debate and debate-related activities in communities throughout the world. Established in 1999 to coordinate pilot debate programs initiated by The Open Society Institute, IDEA acts as an independent membership organization of national debate clubs, associations, programs, and individuals with the same goal as IDEA.

About Universidad Iberoamericana
The Universidad Iberoamerica is a Mexican private institution of higher education sponsored by the Society of Jesus.  In addition to the Leon campus, it also has campuses in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Torreón, Puebla, Acapulco and Tijuana.
