Visa requirements

Attention: The following information was compiled in November 2011 through various online sources, however in all cases please double check with your nearest Mexican Embassy or Consulate in order to verify whether you qualify for a visa exemption based on your nationality. Nationals of the following countries and territories do not require a visa to enter Mexico for up to 180 days.

Andorra, Anguilla, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Bermuda, Bulgaria, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, Cyprus, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep. of), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Fed. States of), Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tokelau, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Kingdom, United States of America, U.S. Virgin Islands, Uruguay, Venezuela, Wallis and Futuna.

Also, the holders of a valid U.S. visa or a permanent residence permit of the United States of America, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom or countries that comprise the Schengen Area* do not require a visa.

Nationals of the following countries are eligible for an Electronic Visa Authorization: Brazil, Russia, Ukraine
